Bihar squad achieved a landslide victory in the U-17 Junior Women’s National Football Championship on June 22, 2022. Bihar team defeated Delhi with a remarkable score of 0-5. Our state accomplished this achievement in the ongoing Hero Junior U-17 Women’s National Football Championship 2022-23 at the Sports Complex in Guwahati, Assam.
Before that, Bihar played against Telangana and Meghalaya and acquired over them too. Bihar beat Telangana by 8-0 and won a score of 13-1 against Meghalaya. Along with Bihar, Manipur, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu also clinched the victory on June 22.
The All India Football Federation organized the Hero U-17 Junior Women’s National Football League from June 18 to July 4 in Guwahati. There are a total of 34 teams playing in the Championship. These teams have been divided into 8 groups and each group will play against the other. The qualified team will play the semi-final. And two victorious teams will play in the finals. Five venues have been fixed for the game in Guwahati itself.
