This Bejod Bhojpuri Song is going to be your new favourite

Patnabeats is redefining the word “Bihar”, and there is this film maker who is redefining the Cinema of Bihar. It is rightly said that Cinema is the Mirror of our society, and when it comes to Cinema of Bihar, ie. Bhojpuri primarily, then there is nothing much to say. But the person we are talking about is someone who has made films in Bhojpuri and Maithili languages and have been to film festivals across the globe, including Canada, US, Jordan, Singapore, Fiji and many other place in India. His Chhath video is estimatedly seen by more than 50 million people across the globe.

We are talking about National Award Winning director and producer Nitin Neera Chandra, and we all are going crazy over his latest video on youtube channel “Bejod”. The video is beyond the imagination of present day Bhojpuri Cinema or Music. “Saari Saari ratiya” is a period video and hands down the best ever video made in Bhojpuri. The song is set in probably 30s or 40s with Gramofone, old archaic table fan, Old long handle bell telephone and ethnic Prince in a wooden photo frame. The hairstyle and mannerism of the olden days are portrayed perfectly by Pratiksha Rai who Nitin Neera Chandra has repeated from his previous video “ Gorki Patarki Re”. The song is written by legendary Bholanath Gahmari.

The song is sung by Indian Idol finalist and very much our own Deepali Sahay of Patna. It’s great to see Deepali Sahay and Nitin Neera Chandra coming together. We at PatnaBeats office are totally bowled over by the video and without making you wait anymore click on the link and watch the video.
