Bihar, Birth and BEd | An Act Of Bravado.

Soon after giving birth to her second child, Ranju Kumari rushed to the examination hall to sit for her BEd exam.

At a time, when many would even think twice before walking two steps, this woman from Muzzafarpur, Bihar rushed in an ambulance to her examination hall to appear for her Bachelor of Education (BEd) examination, barely 30 minutes after her second childbirth, a baby boy!
According to news reports, before her BEd examination was to commence in Muzzafarpur, Ranju Kumari started to go through labour pain. She was then rushed to a private hospital where she delivered a baby boy. Not paying any heed to her present situation, she stressed upon going to the examination hall for taking-up the exam, something that her doctors were strongly disapproving of. That’s not all. She took an ambulance to the examination hall.

Although, she reached the examination hall about 30 minutes late, the centre’s superintendent, Mamta Rani was so moved with her dedication and purposefulness that she even allowed her to write the examination in the ambulance itself with an invigilator inside the ambulance. Says Mamta Rani, “We salute her decision for studies. She has proved women’s awareness towards studies has increased.” Meanwhile, Ranju said that she was desperate to give her exams because she wanted to be better educated so that she could take care of her children and also educate them better.
This iron-willed lady sure deserves a big round of applause for her great feat.
