The government today announced a list of 85 people who will be conferred the Padma awards this year. The list includes cricketer MS Dhoni, snooker player Pankaj Advani, famous Bihar’s folk singer Sharda Sinha and 6 others who will be bestowed with the Padma Bhushan – the third highest civilian award.

The Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award, will be conferred upon three personalities. They are: Illaiyaraja (Art-Music, Tamil Nadu), Ghulam Mustafa Khan (Art-Music, Maharashtra) and Parameswaran (Literature and Education, Kerala)

The Padma Shri list includes 73 names.
