The daughter of Bihar had reached the highest peak of South America on 13th January 2020, after hoisting the tricolour on Africa’s highest peak on 31st March 2019. Mitali Prasad was born in Nalanda district of Bihar, graduated from Patna College and post graduated from Patna University in 2019.
Mitali’s dream to reach the highest peak made her closer to her destination from 2019 when she made up to the highest peak of Africa, Kilimanjaro and followed by her recent achievement of reaching South America’s highest peak, Mount Aconcagua(6962 m).
Mitali waved the flag of India and Patna University logo at Mount Aconcagua. With this, the Patna University Alumni becomes the first Indian solo climber to reach this height of Aconcagua. To reach the height, the amount of money needed was six and a half rupees, which became tough for her to collect. On the ground, Mitali got help from a few of her known friends, college mates and an online donation campaign.

Miss Prasad has been looking forward to getting some help from the government, for that she met many people in a few weeks but all in vain. Seeing her zeal towards her dream to climb the highest peak of South America, her friends and well-wishers started an online campaign to collect funds for Mitali since 20th December 2019. She is targeting her goal to climb the highest peaks of all the 7 continents, all that she needs is some financial help from the Government to achieve her target sooner.
