IPTA is all set to celebrate its 75 years of glorious presence in the Theatre arena

Indian People’s Theatre Association is all set to celebrate its 75 years of glorious presence in the Theatre arena. October 26th was just a Glimpse of the weekend celebration which has arrived at its door.

In order to celebrate the glorious and gigantic heritage of IPTA and embracing new opportunities on the way, the organizing committee is fully prepared for the grand launch of the ‘IPTA National Platinum Jubilee Festival’ in Patna (Bihar). From 27th to 31st of October, 2018, celebrities across the globe will be witnessing and participating in the festival with the desire of a better world for everyone through songs, music, dance, dramas and different art forms along with the several IPTA’s unit spread across the country. The festival will be inaugurated by famous cine star Shabana Azmi at the Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir, Fraser Road, Patna. On this occasion, many celebrities including film director Saeed Akhtar Mirza, M.K.K Raina, Anjjan Srivastava, Jindesh, Jignesh Mewani, Kanhaiya Kumar, Kacha Illaiya, Malada Ravi, Sanjna Kapoor, Sambhaji Bhagat, Mukund Nayak, Medha Pansare will be element stage stealers. In the very beginning, invited guests and office bearers of IPTA will pay homage on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Shubhash Chandra Bose, Kargil War Martyrs’ memorial. There will be a People’s Cultural March from Dadijee Mandir campus which will go to the Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir. The Organizing Committee said that this five-day festival is not only about celebrations but about the celebrations for the love IPTA has for the country with strong sense of nationalism. Different plays, songs, and performances will be presented in front of the cultural forums of the city and there will be discussions about social, political and cultural challenges. Strategies will also be prepared for further cultural movements and their consequential betterment.   1500 artists from 22 states of India including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu – Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Pondicherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand are participating in the event, counting in the units operating in 28 districts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Delhi etc. In this ceremony, all the organizations and people associated with the history and the heritage of IPTA will be present for the celebration.

Cultural Table & Public Culture: –

First day of the IPTA National Platinum Jubilee celebration, will start by 3 PM onwards. The participating artists will be showcasing their panoramic tableaux of folk and cultural traditions of their region. This is the tableau of Gandhiji. The tableau starting from Gandhi Maidan, will enter the Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir open auditorium via Kargil Chowk, Subhash Chandra Bose Chowk and Exhibition Road from Ramgulam Chowk, Dakbangla Chouraha, Fraser Road. There will be a public gathering to be addressed by the country’s iconic artists, actors, scholars, and Litterateur.

Event Venue: IPTA National Platinum Jubilee celebration, the discussion,  seminar and cultural activities will be organized at the Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir Open Auditorium (Fraser Road), Indian Dance Arts Temple Auditorium (Fraser Road), Kalidas Rangalaya (Gandhi Maidan), Premchand Theater (Rajendra Nagar), Bhikhari Thakur Rangabhoomi (Southern Gandhi Maidan, Ramgoolam Check End), Kanhaiya Rangbhoomi (Premchand Theater Complex), Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir Multipurpose Cultural Complex (Fraser Road).
