A five day Holi Mela is being organized by the Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh(BMUS) in the premises of the Indira Gandhi Planetarium in the state capital from 17 to 21 March.
Along with the women entrepreneurs from Bihar, several entrepreneurs from other states including Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat are participating in the Holi Mela. This time, a total of 100 stalls have been set up in the fair, out of which 10 stalls have been put up by NABARD and five stalls are from the Women Development Corporation. The fair was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister (CM) of Bihar , Renu Devi. In her inaugural speech, the deputy CM said an online portal would be launched on April 1 for selecting entrepreneurs from all over the state and guiding them. This will also help in increasing employment for the women entrepreneurs. They can start their own business by registering themselves on this portal.
This fair is organized twice a year giving young women entrepreneurs a platform for business growth and strong customer base. “The main purpose of organizing the Holi Mela is to give a platform to women entrepreneurs so that they can build a strong network. , ” said Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh(BMUS) president Usha Jha. “The number of stalls are less because of insufficient space,” she added.
AN College vice – principal Purnima Shekhar , Bihar Industries Association president Ram Lal Khetan and Sugarcane Industries department’s principal secretary N Vijayalakshmi were also present at the inaugural event.
The fair is a great opportunity for the shopping freaks of the town as they can buy trending stuffs at reasonable prices.
