Free Health Checkup Camp to be held on 8th Jan 2017

New year’s coming and what better way can be there to start a fresh year than participating in the health camp organised by Maa Vaishno Devi Seva Samiti that aspires to save lives as well as inculcate awareness among people concerning blood donation and its various uses.

Maa Vaishno Devi Seva Samiti, founded by a businessman and social worker, Mukesh Hissariya, organises a health camp every year in the month of January at Maharana Pratap Community Hall in Arya Kumar Road, Machuatoli, Patna. The foundation aims at providing free health checkup facilities as well as providing the needy with blood of the desired blood group through their blood donation website, free of cost.
With the help of the health camp and the blood donation website, the organisation has saved more than 500 lives till now. The health camp has a panel of 40 renowned doctors and more than 2000 patients are dispensed with free health check-up and medicines. The Bihar Aids Control Society and PMCH Blood Bank are also associated with this camp.

The health camp has various medicinal facilities including blood donation facilities. This year also, there are going to be free health check-up facilities including pathological tests prescribed by the panel of doctors, free of cost. Alongwith this, around 50 cataract patients would be chosen by the panel of doctors who would be operated in the coming month again free of cost. Not only this, free medicines would also be distributed among the needy.

One of the basic motives of this camp is also to create awareness among the people regarding blood donation and attract as many donors as possible. In order to encourage blood donation, the organisation would be awarding 51 donors who would register themselves and donate blood through their website www.biharbloodbank.in and WhatsApp. The registrations for blood donation start on 7th Jan between 11am-2pm. The health camp would be organised on 8th Jan from 10am-3pm.
