‘Entertainment on Demand’ programme is to be launched soon at Danapur Division of East Central Railway (ECR). The project will be implemented for the passengers in at-least eight pairs of mail and express trains and it is free of cost. This plan has been initiated for the passengers so that they could entertain themselves while travelling and don’t get bored.
“The railways will also introduce this service in the trains like Patna-Mumbai Suvidha Express (82355/82356), Patna-Bandra Humsafar Express (22353/22354), Patna-Kota Express (13237/13238, 13239/13240), Patna-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express (12023/12024) and Patna-Ranchi Jan Shatabdi Express (12365/12366) by August 15,” Danapur senior divisional commercial manager (senior DCM) , Aadhar Raj said.
“Passengers will first log into a site either on their laptops or Android cellphones and browse through as many as 7,000 old and new films, songs and TV shows. While elderly passengers can listen to devotional songs, children can watch cartoons and play games. The picture quality will be great and every programme will have English and Hindi subtitles as well,” Raj added. the site would provide information like a refund, cancellation of the tickets and facilities available at all the major stations and can make their train journey entertaining.[divider]Also Read- Bihar to bring bill for conservation of ground water[/divider]
This service is being provided by the east central railways, will be started in the Linke Hofmann Busch coaches of Rajendra Nagar Terminal-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (12309/12310) and Rajendra Nagar Terminal-New Delhi Sampoorna Kranti Express (12393/12394) by the end of this month.
The railway is likely to sign the memorandum of understanding with a reputed private company before launching the entertainment on demand programme. It is the part of the whole project which has been approved by the ECR board and Railway Board. The department will look forward to getting the response of the passengers on the provided facilities and accordingly the Department will initiate the service in all other 70 mail and express trains starting from different stations of Danapur Division.
