Bihar’s Anjali Singh becomes first woman military diplomat in Indian Missions Abroad

It’s been true from the very last days in military history that only the men were given chance to contribute themselves in Army, Navy or Air force. However, it is the renovated contemporary time which has brought a person to be known as the only lady in the post of Deputy Air attached that it is the moment to feel proud for the Indians as the daughter of Bihar, “Anjali Singh” is considered to be the first woman to avail the post of the military diplomat in Indian Missions abroad.

“Wing Commander Anjali Singh joined @IndEmbMoscow on 10th Sep as the Deputy Air Attache. She enjoys the distinction of being the first female Indian Armed Forces Officer to be posted as a military diplomat in any of the Indian missions abroad,” Indian embassy in Moscow said in a tweet.

With an optimistic approach and leadership quality within, she has brought up in a village of Samastipur district, Bihar. Believing her father, Madan Prasad Singh, to be her role model. She remarks her father has the best supporter of her who has highly motivated in her career journey.
From the very beginning, it is observed that Anjali was ahead in leading people around her, including her siblings. With a bold attitude, she completed her primary education in Jalandhar and opted for engineering in telecommunications at Pune University.
It wonders the country with pride when it is noticed that in another initiative towards women upliftment, A 41-year-old Anjali Singh has been posted with the Indian embassy in Moscow, Russia. As from her intelligence, she has been assigned as the Deputy Air Attache with 17 years of service and has been trained on the MiG combat aircraft.
In her early professional age, she worked in a private company of municipality of India for 2 years in Uttar Pradesh. In 2002, she stepped into the Air Force department.

Bihar’s Anjali Singh in her early age of 17 worked with Indian Air Force Squadron leader since then. seeing her hard work and enthusiasm, Colonel Rajeev Ranjan quoted that Anjali Singh can be regarded as the best inspirational story for women who desire to work in army, navy or air force. Women could fulfil their career aspirations by following her confidential character and dedicated enthusiasm towards India.

“The strength of women officers serving in the Indian Air Force (IAF) as on July 1, 2019, is 1,905. Of these, eight are Fighter Pilots and 17 are Navigators,” Minister of State (MoS) for Defence Shripad Naik had recently said in the Parliament.
