‘Bihar Diwas’ to be celebrated in Berlin

In an effort to share common bonding among themselves, the people from Bihar living in Germany have planned to celebrate ‘Bihar Diwas’ on May 26 in Berlin under the banner of ‘Bihar Fraternity Germany’.

Bihar celebrated its 106th statehood day on March 22 with zest and enthusiasm in Patna.

Listing out the objectives of the forum ‘Bihar Fraternity Germany’, its founder Prakash Sharma said, “Its aim is threefold. One, to get the Bihari diaspora together and share our bonding; two, to introduce Bihar to the people of Germany and three, to make positive changes in the lives of people who are still nurturing our roots in our home state.”

Besides, the organization has decided to make Bihar a global brand and determined to contribute in the areas of elementary education, modernization of farming practises, inculcating entrepreneurship, renewable energy, promotion of art and literature. Several sub-committees have been created to look after each area, Mr Prakash added.

The forum has a 9-member executive committee and 350 active members headed by President Arvind Sinha.

Earlier, the forum held two gatherings in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.
