Be A Part of Creo 2017 : An Inter-School Event For Kids’ Creativity

Creo 2017 | An amalgamation of events for the rebirth of creativity!

Patna: We live in an age where parents are in a race, a race to crush creativity in the name of few numbers in the marks sheet. Our kids are living with parents whose ambitions are nothing beyond IIT and AIIMS, and our schools are manufacturing students like they manufacture bricks for a wall. With so much thought control in our homes and schools, creativity is dying like a fish out of a pond.
To bring the creativity back in our kids, to let them feel the essence of Independent thoughts, Indirapuram Public School – girls, with its online media partner PatnaBeats is organizing a two-day Inter school celebration of talent and skills “ Creo 2017” an inter-school fest with “nature” as its 2017 theme.
CREO is a platform set to bring forth the various ignited minds to collaborate, and participate to evolve a new fashion of learning and growing with each other.
“Creo is an art and literary inter-school fest, where every activity is designed with innovative ideas to trigger the creativity of kids. Every activity has a purpose here.”  Informed Principal of Indirapuram Public School for girls to PatnaBeats.
 She further added that “we are expecting the participation of more than 12 schools for creo this year.”
Talking about the inclusiveness of Creo’s thought breaking activities she added that, “We have invited NGO rainbow house in order to provide a platform to their kids so that they can also play with their creativity.”
There are in total 15 activities in Creo. On day one they have nine activities that include:

1.    Stumbling Block

A unique puzzle solving game for LKG and UKG students, where they will solve the peace-related puzzle.

2.    Tanzdrama

On theme Save Environment, kids will dramatize a dance to show that nature is our best friend.


On theme, Futuristic Jewellery kids will prepare a jewellery using e-waste items only.

4.    Comic strip prepare

On theme My green space, kids will prepare comic strips.

5.    Actemote

Here kids will select a story from the works of any one of the following authors and prepare a script and play: Prem Chand, Satyajit Ray, Kalki, Sudha Murty, or Rabindranath Tagore.

6.    The Writing On a wall

A unique graffiti making competition for kids using spray paints, oil paints on theme save nature.

7.    Babble On a Cable

Here kids will prepare a picture story on eight stone, through their creative paintings over stone.

8.    Encash-The-Trash

Theme: Creating scientific toy from trash

9.    The Forth Estate

A unique journalism and filmmaking activity, where kids will cover creo in their unique style.
On day two they have six activities:

1.    Art Atack

Here, kids will prepare a coastal scene using shells and/or pasta, and complete the scenery with vegetable and ear bus painting.

2.    Clay Modelling

In this kids will prepare a fruits basket with clay.

3.    Mathematical hurdle

It is an outdoor activity in which the participants will have to solve simple mathematical puzzles in the playfield and cross hurdles to reach the finish line.

4.    Quawwali

Theme: Environment (People vs Pollution)
What’s new? :Quawwali team in favour of People will take on the Quawwali team representing Pollution.

5.    The Forth Estate

A unique journalism and film making activity, where kids will cover creo in their unique style.

6.    Nukkad Natak

Theme: Ill Effects of pollution on the environment.
What’s new? : Students will use house Junk instead of Tambourine!!

“In order to fulfil Indirapuram Public School’s commitment to bring the best and creative platforms for students in the city, Creo 2017 is going to be their first inter-school fest. Earlier this November Indirapuram Public School for girls also hosted a regional round of national debating tournament Behes where more than 230 students from six schools participated out of which 72 students from the city qualified for National finals.”
