HomeBiharBe a part of Ashish Sharma’s journey, a Foot Soldier, currently walking across Bihar for a cause Mayank Jha Bihar We’ve heard stories about sages moving all around the world, about how they travelled barefooted, stayed at unknown houses, went to random villages and spread knowledge and spirituality. Those sages were highly praised and worshipped at most of the places. This monday we saw something similar on the streets of Patna when Ashish Sharma, also known as ‘Foot Soldier’ was walking through the city holding the tricolour in his hands. Modus operandi of this guy is as same as of those sages. His means of travel is his feet. He stays at his newly acquaintance’s houses, spreads awareness about child begging and the main reason behind child begging-child trafficking. He has deep faith in the Hindu God Krishna and calls himself a deeply spiritual person. To eradicate child begging from all across India at the grassroot level, Duayen foundation came ahead with the ‘Unmukt India’ Campaign . Ashish Sharma , one of the core founder of Duayen Foundation is walking 17,000 km to spread awareness about child begging. The campaign was flagged off in August 2017 and is going to be covering 29 states, 7 union territories, and 4,900 villages. Now he is in our state, Bihar. He has already covered three districts Aarrah, Buxar and Patna and he is currently walking in Chhapra. The other districts he’ll cover are Jahanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Madhepura, Araria and Kishanganj. Most of the days, Ashish could be seen speaking to multiple people from schools and colleges, educating them against the grave issue of child beggars. He believes in building a strong network of people who will proactively speak about the issue. Unmukt India29 states, 17000 Kms walk to make India child beggars free. @Ashish sharma Posted by PatnaBeats on Monday, June 25, 2018 He says, “I just ask for your support in eradicating the menace. Do join me in the initiative by curbing the practice of giving money to the child beggars and guiding people to follow the same. This initiative, conducted by Duayen Foundation can be a success with the support of public and various profit and non-profit organizations throughout India.” Addressing child’s rights issues, taking reformatory measures and empowering either vocational or regular education is the need of the hour. The final vision is to make India a child begging free nation. While talking to him we noticed that he stresses a lot about “eradicating one issue” at once rather than discussing different issues at one time. He focuses on mobilising the youth for social causes instead of wasting their time and energy on useless things. He’s also organising a rally next year in Delhi and hoping about a million people to join it. Ashish Sharma is in Bihar for 22 more days, you can join him in his movement in above mentioned districts. This guy is walking for a better cause and we from PatnaBeats appeal you to be a part of it just by curbing the practice of giving money to the child beggars and guiding people to follow the same.
