This will help people going to Digha more easily. About 379.57 crores were spent on its construction. Deputy Chief Engineer of Bridge Construction Corporation Sunil Kumar said that the flyover will provide connectivity to the R Block-Digha road.
Preparations have been done for this for a long. Initially, the DPR was being prepared. The convenience of going on the R Block-Digha road, Atal Path has increased with the construction of the ramp. Bihar’s Road Construction Minister Mangal Pandey had directed to complete the construction work of R Block-Digha road in the capital Patna by 31 December. Simultaneously, to strengthen the road connectivity between Bhojpur and Patna, the Bihiya-Jagdishpur, Piro-Bihta path has been ordered to be completed by March 2021.
The minister also reviewed the projects implemented under Bihar State Road Development Corporation. It is said that the construction of about 7.6 km long R Block-Digha road has cost about 340.51 crores. On the other hand, 54.51 km long Bihiya-Jagdishpur-Piro-Bihta road is being constructed at an expenditure of Rs 504.20 crore.
The Minister reviewed the progress of work in the meeting by becoming aware of various projects implemented under the Asian Development Bank, Flavors Finance, etc. He directed to expedite the 9.76 km long 6-lane Ganga Bridge project on the Ganges River. In the meeting, the site visit program of the Ganga Path project implemented on the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) tender system was decided. Apart from this, a site tour of all the main projects has been planned. The minister also directed to take action for deputation on vacant posts under the corporation.
