United Nations Winter Youth Assembly 2018

Deadline: January 05, 2018

Organized on the theme of “Innovation and Collaboration for a Sustainable World,” the 21st session of the Youth Assembly will serve as a forum to open up new pathways for cooperation while harnessing the creativity and energy of youth delegates for global impact. A Youth Assembly Delegate must be between the ages of 16 – 28 (at the time of the conference) and actively involved in his/her community.

Hansen Global Summer Institute

Deadline: January 09, 2018

Hansen Summer Institute will host its ninth group of young leaders in July 2018 at the University of San Diego School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES). Successful applicants must demonstrate leadership potential by having worked outside of class in community service, another public service, or in a non-governmental organization. Students must be between the ages of 20- 25 on July 1, 2018.

Sony World Photography Awards

Deadline: January 11, 2018

Free to enter and open to all photographers around the world, Sony World Photography Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. Participants can register in Professional, Youth or Student categories. A total prize fund of $30,000 (USD) plus the latest Sony digital imaging equipment is shared between winning photographers. Photographers are taken on a year-long journey, bringing untold exposure and providing a global stage on which to present their work.

The Future Global Leaders Fellowship

The Future Global Leaders Fellowship annually selects the world’s top first-generation university students and, over the course of a 3-year program, primes them for induction into the Fortis Society – the world’s first private network of diverse leaders committed to one another’s success and to a better world.

NASA Space Settlement Contest

Deadline: February 15, 2018

This annual contest, co-operated by NASA Ames Research Center is for all students up to 12th grade (18 years old) from anywhere in the world. Students develop space settlement designs and related materials. These are sent to NASA Ames for judgement. Qualifying teams and participants are invited to attend the International Space Development Conference and receive the Bruce M. Clark, Jr. Memorial Space Settlement Award worth $3000.

Olympus Global Photo Contest 2018

Deadline: February 26, 2018

The competition is open to everyone, amateur and professional photographers alike. Entries are welcome from any country or region around the world. Winners in different categories receive prize money and Olympus equipment. The Grand Prize Winner receives 1 Million Japanese Yen (Around 6 lakhs INR).

Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Contest

The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is the world’s oldest schools’ international writing competition, managed by The Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883. The competition is open to youth aged 18 or under from all Commonwealth countries and territories. One Winner and Runner-up from the Senior and Junior categories will win a trip to London for a week-long series of educational and cultural events.
