CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2017

Deadline: November 10, 2017

Organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Heritage India Quiz is one of the most prestigious high school quiz competitions.  Each school will be represented by three students who may be selected from classes IX-XII. Interested schools should submit the registration form and confirm their participation before the deadline by filling in the online registration form available at www.cbseacademic.in. Winners will be felicitated by the central government and offered cash prizes of several lakhs.

Luis Valtueña Humanitarian Photography Award

Deadline: November 10, 2017

The competition is open to adult amateur and professional photographers of any nationality. The task is to collect real stories captured in images that become testimonies and denunciations of social injustices. The winner will receive a project grant of 6,000 euros to develop a photography project composed of at least 50 photos and a 30 minute video shoot in Spain or in other countries.

Jacques Rougerie Foundation International Competition in Architecture

Architects, designers, engineers, artists and urban planners are given a unique opportunity to win one of the three prizes of the Jacques Rougerie Foundation – Institut de France by creating innovative and ambitious projects on topics of sea, space or sea level rise. Winners share a sum of €30,000 among themselves as prize money.

Vigyan Prasar, under Department of Science and Technology, Government of India invites entries for 8th National Science Film Festival of India 2018 from students of Class 6 to 12, college students, independent filmmakers, production houses and Government organizations. Films in different duration and age categories can be submitted and will be eligible for cash awards of up to Rs. 1,00,000.

Ministry of Culture Young Artists Scholarship

Online applications are invited by the Ministry Of Culture, Govt. of India for the award of scholarships from young artists (18 – 25) of outstanding promise in the fields of Indian Music, dance and different form of arts. Each selected scholar will be paid at Rs. 5000/- per month for a period of two years to cover their living expenses.

Pragati Scholarship for Girls

Applications are being invited from girl students in high schools to pursue technical education on scholarship from the government. The scheme will offer Rs. 30,000 per annum to 4,000 girls in India to enroll in a Degree/Diploma course in any of the AICTE approved institutions. All applications shall be received online using the AICTE site.

The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers alike to capture the essence of the urban environment. The winner will receive a photography trip of a lifetime to a destination of their choice for themselves and a friend. John S Knight Fellowship at Stanford

Deadline: December 04, 2017

The JSK Journalism Fellowships supports diverse journalists from around the world who are deeply engaged in exploring solutions to the most urgent issues facing journalism. Stanford University will select up to 20 fellows for their next class. JSK Fellows receive several benefits, including base stipends of $75,000, health insurance and Stanford tuition. The total financial support to fellows ranges from $95,000 to $145,000. There are no minimum educational requirements for applying.
