The participants are to take original snap on the subject. Any citizen of India of age 18 years or more can participate in this contest. Winning entries will receive Rs. 20,000 and recognized by the Department of Posts, Government of India.

Howard G. Buffett Fund for Women Journalists 2017

Deadline: July 25, 2017

Woman-identifying journalists from anywhere in the world are eligible to apply. Applicants need to submit a brief description of the project or opportunity they are seeking funding for, an estimated budget and their CV. The IWMF will make an annual total of $230,000 worth of grants to support women journalists in their projects and endeavor.

Students first participate in their respective schools and the school then submits one best poster to WWF-India’s state office 1 week prior to the City- Level Quiz. The theme of the contest is “Life on Earth 100 Years from Now”. Posters should be on A3 size.

As part of its ‘Awareness Programme on Indian Foreign Policy’, Indian Council of World Affairs announces the second edition of ICWA Essay Competition for school students (15-18 years) and undergraduate/post graduate students (18-25 years). Rhodes Scholarship India

Each year, there are five full scholarships available for Indian citizens to pursue academic degrees at Oxford University. To enter, you must have undertaken formal study at an educational institution in India for a minimum of 4 of the last 10 years, and have either (i) completed a school leaving exam (10th or 12th standard) at a school in India, or (ii) have received, or be in the final year of, an undergraduate degree at a university in India.

Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award

NASA-CineSpace Short Film Contest 2017

NASA and the Houston Cinema Arts Society once again will offer filmmakers around the world a chance to share their works inspired by — and using — actual NASA imagery through “CineSpace,” a short-film competition.

Finalists and winners will be announced at a CineSpace event during the Houston Cinema Arts Festival in November. Entries will be competing for $26,000 in prizes with cash awards going to the top three submissions as well as the two films that best demonstrate the themes “Benefits of Space to Humanity” and “Future Space Exploration.”

National Competition On Essay Writing in Physics

The theme for this year is – Lasers Today – A century of Einstein’s stimulating theory of radiation”. Participants are expected to build-up the theme properly and cover major aspects of the basic Physics and technological applications of Lasers. Organized by the Department of Posts, Govt. of India, All India Letter Writing Competition is inviting entries from all age groups. Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India invites application for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2017 to ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

Fellows receive a monthly stipend of 7000 INR and an annual grant of 28,000 INR to support their higher education in Science & Tech. Registrations start on July 09, 2017.
